Welcome to the dark side... uh, corporate world. You'll find amazing things here, like job security, raises and bonuses.

To steal a line from Texas' tourism people: It's like a whole other country!

Do you need a pica pole at Humana?

Congrats. Never crossed paths with Creig -- although I'm old enough to remember the Orlando byline -- but Ace is cool.

    Ace,

You'll enjoy your newfound freedom, you'll know exactly what to do and you'll bring such a fresh perspective to the PR/marketing folks. They'll love it.

But you'll probably find that you can't take the journalist out of yourself entirely, even if you're non-practicing.

You still do and will always bring it.

Thanks, Luggie. Will probably struggle to keep my mouth shut for a while.

Creig gave me my first big-boy job. For that alone, he'll always have a huge fan and supporter. He was a tremendous ally for his staff in an environment that desperately needed (and still needs) someone to stick up for us. I hope someone else will step into that role. Either way, we're going to really, really miss him.

Had to come here to acknowledge one of my favorites on the board.

    Wishing you well, Aec.
