Singer: Robert Plant (male), Stevie Nicks (female)
Guitar 1: John Butler - best solo I've ever heard -

Guitar 2: Lindsay Buckingham - my favorite song of all time -

Guitar 3: THIS GUY - wait for the riff at 58 seconds -

    Bass: Flea
    Bass 2: John McVie
    Drums: Neil Peart --
    -- OR Mick Fleetwood

  2. I'm assuming that genre doesn't really matter.

    Vocals -- Otis Redding.
    Lead Guitar -- Duane Allman
    2d Lead -- Clapton
    Bass -- Duck Dunn
    Drums -- Keith Moon.

Am I alone in hoping that Pattie Boyd somehow manages to find this thread?

Actually, the Who and the Rolling Stones were pretty close to all-star bands all by themselves from about 1967-75.

Moon, Entwistle and Townshend were routinely ranked among the top performers on their respective instruments. As were Charlie Watts, Bill Wyman and Keith Richards.

Vocalists are entirely acquired tastes, but Daltrey and Jagger have always had adherents who said they were the best at what they did.

And the same, of course, could be said about Led Zeppelin.

    Assuming they're all in their prime . . . .

Singer: Sebastian Bach (hell of a voice, moves between metal and softer stuff, and the ladies will come out in droves to see him sing)
    Rhythm Guitar: Scott Ian, Anthrax
Lead Guitar: Jimmy Page, Led Zeppelin
    Bass: Cliff Burton, Metallica
    Drummer: Neil Peart, Rush

    Lyrics: John Lennon
    Music/riffs/hooks: James Hetfield

Manager: Peter Grant. He'll make sure they get their money, and make sure the egos can co-exist.

That might very well be. But Dokken is the best Dream Warriors band.

I'll see that and raise you:

    Drums: Willie Hall
    Guitar: SRV
    Guitar: Clapton
    Vocals: B.B. King
Bass: Meh, whomever. With that lineup, it won't matter.

  12. BB is a VERY underrated singer.
