Wow, totally forgot that X cover, hadn't heard that in years. Loved the Mike Ness cover, he does a great version of "Pretty in Pink" too.

Inviting the ire of Sunshine, Third Wave Ska 80s covers. You can't help but to skank.

Reel Big Fish takes on "Take on Me."

Save Ferris with "Come on Eileen."

    Goldfinger and "99 Red Balloons."

Film and TV soundtrack favorite Iron & Wine has some great covers.

The Postal Service's "Such Great Heights" -- you know, the UPS commercial song.

    Stellar The Flaming Lips cover:

    New Order:

    And, this happened last month:

One more, because it sneaks into the local alternative station's rotation from time to time. Indie breakout Glass Animals turning a Kanye hit even more sensuous.

Haha. I grew up with those songs. I appreciate the weirdness.

Perhaps my favorite cover of a Beatles song (maybe not this performance) ..

Elmer Fudd did a good job of covering Springsteen's "Fire"

I know a lot of people hate the Manfred Mann version of Blinded By The Light, but every once in a while I like listening to it and Springsteen back to back.

Back in high school, a Dead fan I knew was shocked at how well I knew the song "Not Fade Away" the first time she played the Dead's version for me. I had to inform her that it was originally a Buddy Holly song that's been covered by many artists including the Stones and Springsteen.

Love many of the Dead's Dylan covers, especially their take on one of my Dylan favorites - "Desolation Row"
