Hawaii football coach Greg McMackin shoved a foot or two in his mouth today.

Forgetting the slur for a moment, but the coach of a team that does a Haka before every game is making fun of someone else's pre-game ritual?

 

If you had given me the story with the name redacted and given me McMackin against the rest of the D-I field on which coach said it all, I'd have put the house on McMackin. Not because he's a bigot, but because he rambles and rambles and rambles and rambles.

 

Suspended 30 days without pay and will lose an additional 7 percent of his salary (about $169,000):

Doesn't that kind of negate the point of a suspension? He still loses the paycheck and all, but that isn't the entire point here.
