  4. Ed Schuyler, who covered boxing and horse racing for the AP for 30 years, is from the town I used to work in. And after he retired from the AP he did some work for us. We used to cover the local college football team together and during long road trips we'd often talk about the stuff he had covered. But he talked more often about Larry Holmes than he did Ali. It always kind of surprised me.

    I would have liked to cover Pheidippides.

    That way the emperor could have read my blog or tweets and perhaps the poor guy wouldn't have run himself to death.

    Plus, it would have been fun to work along side of spnited, when he was in his prime.
