JD the supply of prayers is in good shape.

I found out an hour or so ago that my dad had a minor stroke. I spoke to him in the hospital. He sounded tired but pretty good under the circumstances.

Give me a shout when you can JD. Everybody's pullin' for your mom.

    Peace out.

    Thanks so much.

She's still slowly improving. Tonight they began scaling back her sedation. A week ago we were planning her funeral. Tonight we're planning what to say to her Wednesday or Thursday when she's conscious for the first time in nearly three weeks.

    Good idea.
And, yes, JD, prayers are still coming.
    Let's hope it's working.

In accordance with our mother's Living Will, after doctors came to a consensus there is no chance of recovering from the latest pneumonia, acute respiratory distress and multiple organ failure, we are taking her off the ventilator in the morning.

Thanks to everyone who posted or messaged or e-mailed their support, prayers, thoughts and encouragement. They will always mean a lot. May she rest in peace.

So sorry to hear that, JD. I can't imagine how difficult all this has been for you and your family. You're in my thoughts tonight and tomorrow.

Johnny--She will be at peace. I hope you find some as well, knowing you did everything you could, and surrounded her with your love, for every moment you have together, and long into the future.

We will all be thinking of you.
