Could this be the stupidest cop?

State trooper nabbed in Internet solicitation sting

Obviously with the Dateline programs, anyone who gets caught is pretty stupid. But a State Trooper to get caught has got to be the ultimate.

And these idiots admit they knew there was a chance they were talking to a cop, when they show up to the house and Chris Hansen pops out.

 

Good thing it wasn't your preps writer.

 

Ugly story, especially since the cop in question was part of a Safe Kids program.

On another note, Hank, what's up with the spelling of sergeant in that story?

 

I noticed that too. It's right in the headline, but misspelled in the story. Likely some sloppy copy editing and even sloppier writing.

Man, how'd that get past us? I think we were too busy focusing on the errors in that story.
