Could Jeff Novitzky be under fire?

    Bonds Probe Drags

    June 12, 2007
    San Francisco Chronicle

Bonds' attorney, Michael Rains, said Monday that he
hoped to receive clarity from Schools within the next
two weeks about the government's intentions. If the
situation dragged on, Rains suggested he would go
public soon with new information he said he has
discussed privately with the U.S. attorney.

Rains said he began corresponding by mail with Schools
in early May, sending three letters -- including one
on Monday -- and receiving two responses from the U.S.
attorney. Rains declined to discuss the content of the
    letters.

"I can tell you that I am sending him information that
I don't think he was aware of before my first letter
came to him," said Rains. "I think it was a new
revelation that he wasn't aware of, but that he needed
to be aware of, and I think if he takes it
appropriately and seriously, it will at least perhaps
cause the federal government to rethink the path
    they've been heading down here."

At least you're off your cell phone. That's progress.

249 posts all on the same topic.

    Seek work in politics, cream.

Do you think politics may be more profitable than sports journalism?

It would certainly reward your message discipline much more.

And likely find a much more interested audience, as well.

Do I have to remind everyone that if they're not interested in the thread they don't have to click on it, or even going past that, read it? The only thing more predictable than what creamora posts, which to his credit is at least suitable and of interest on this board, is the knee-jerk reactions from some of you afterwards. We get how you guys feel. Really.

Oh, I know. I was just fascinated that the cell phone icon was not appearing this time. As for the substance, most of us can easily pass the carcass of this dead horse without stopping to stare.

That's an awful lot to read into those few paragraphs, Creamora. However, the grand jury is up in a few weeks so it will be interesting to see if anything more comes of it.

I thought the thread title was about Dirk "Novitsky" and I said to myself, "Well, duh!"

Don't feel bad. I'm sure more than you and I thought the same thing. At least we're men enough to admit it. :D
