Saw Coraline in 3-D this past weekend.
    It was fantastic.
Neil Gaiman wrote the short story the movie is based on.
The movie is animated, kind of. It was actually shot in stop motion and the 3-D just made it spectacular.
From a purely technical standpoint, the film is a triumph. I suspect that the movie will be studied in film school for generations.

Saw it in 2-D, didn't even know it was 3-D until later. I am full of fail.

Decent flick, but I wanted to see Gran Torino instead.

Would you recommend it for my nearly 8 year old daughter who doesn't like scary movies? She wants to see it, but someone told her it was scary & now she's leery.

    I guess it depends.
I didn't think it was all that scary, but then that's me.
It has moments where, I guess, it could be scary to a small child.

Is Coraline a new ED drug?

It apparently makes the two-dimensional seem 3-D

I love animation, and have to find out where here is showing this.

I have a friend who is a movie critic. He didn't think much of this.

Didn't Coraline wear a really short skirt on Letterman last week?

I was surprised by the pasties on the EEE-sized boobs. I wouldn't really want my kids to see that scene.
