I got the call from Phil about a week ago and we did the initial interview. He told me the ME would call me early this week, but I have yet to hear anything.

so are you moving up from a weekly or something?

or just an even worse paper?

  3. I'm guessing monthly college paper.

Though the cynicism and attitude are always appreciated I'm sorry to disappoint you guys. I have spent the last year and a half as a stringer for the Las Vegas Review-Journal and am looking for a full time position.

    yikes!

even worse -- you are a stringer and that paper is considering you for a job that could turn into an ASE role?

not saying you shouldn't be trying for the job, just saying their target ought to raise a bit higher than the curb.

but the nearby McDonald's probably pays better .

    gutenberg,

You need to knock it off. You don't know what you're talking about, just spouting off regarding a situation in which you obviously have no experience.

And really, what do you know about Runnin' Rebel's experience (beyond recent freelance work), either?

It's not Runnin Rebel's background that stuns me.

Raise your head above the curb and you'll figure it out.

The hourly rate is similar to Pocatello, but it's a 37.5 hours per week schedule.

  9. Gutenberg, do you have something against Idaho?

    Idaho is beautiful.

Boise is one of the greatest towns in the country.

    Nope.

    I love their T-shirts.

    I-DA-HO?

    No, U-DA-HO!

    Great stuff.
