    The Courier News, a Gannett newspaper, is seeking a full-time Copy Editor to join our Newsroom. This position is based out of our East Brunswick location and reports to the Sports Editor.

    The ideal candidate will be available from 4 pm-12 midnight (5 days per week), including weekends & holidays. Must have the ability to write lively headlines, understand the key elements of story structure, be able to edit for accuracy and grammar and have pagination skills with an eye for design. Photoshop and InDesign are a plus.

    You don't want anything to do with this. The old Courier News basically doesn't exist. It's a branch of the Home News Tribune.

    Morale is horrendous among HNT employees, worse for the ex-Bridgewater people. Get a job at Starbucks.

    but if i remember right, stahoski is boots' old HR person. stahoski added to any job has hijinx written all over it.

    The publisher, who had only been on the job for a year or so, recently resigned. Skip Hidlay, editor of the Asbury Park Press, is the acting publisher.

    No one should interpret this as good news.

    That is shocking. How does a LITTLE phony like Skippy get promoted. He basically ran the Press into the ground and the staff out the door. I heard they weren't too sad to see him leave Cherry Hill. It just shows what a scuzzy company Gannett is that they put people like Skippy in positions to ruin the product and as an added bonus the employees lives!
