The Daily Times, a Gannett newspaper in the heart of Maryland's Eastern Shore, seeks a page designer with editing and writing skills to join its universal desk.

Candidates should be able to work nights and weekends to edit copy, write headlines and design pages for all sections of the newspaper, including news, features, sports and business. Candidates should be competent in Quark Express or Adobe InDesign, and have working knowledge of AP Style. Experience with Baseview NewsEditPro is a plus.

The salary is $25,000 to $30,000, based on experience. This is a full-time position with benefits, including paid time off, health insurance and a 401(k) retirement plan.

Send cover letter, resume and three page-design samples in PDF format to Erick Sahler, Managing Editor, The Daily Times, 618 Beam St., Salisbury, Md. 21801, or e-mail to esahler@dmg.gannett.com.
