Please provide a cover letter, resume and work samples by July 7 to Managing Editor Colette Weeks at cweeks@skagitpublishing.com, or send to Skagit Valley Herald, P.O. Box 578, Mount Vernon, WA 98274. EOE. Posted June 23, 2011

Used to be a PM, thought about changing to AM a few years back. Not sure if that happened or not.

Decent paper, about 90 minutes north of Seattle, 90 south of Vancouver, BC. Focus is mainly preps because they don't have much else locally. Run wire on Seattle college and pro teams.

This is actually about an hour or so from Seattle. Mount Vernon is an OK little city, not a hell of a lot to do there but close enough to Seattle, Bellingham and Vancouver that it's not in the middle of nowhere. Mount Vernon High School is good at pretty much everything and most of the surrounding schools are pretty solid. Skagit Valley College is also in Mt. Vernon. But yes, it's mostly preps, some junior college, and auto racing.
