Awesome hede from the NY Post.

Apparently, this aspiring rapper climbed a street light in a publicity stunt and Times Square quickly turned into a quagmire because cops shut down traffic for 20 blocks for hours. Money quote from one witness:

Thought this was another Ryan Done story.
  3. Gotta admit -- that's a damn good headline.

It sure is. Gotta love those police-created traffic jams. Except the people caught in traffic sure didn't think it was funny.

Not saying otherwise. But if you're driving within a 20-block radius of Times Square at 9:20 am, you are either a cab driver cursing your fare or you are insane.

Had a period of time a couple years back where we had a rash of interstate bridge jumpers. Basically, would basically bring an ATL interstate to a standstill, generally during rush hour.

My approach sitting in these backups was always the same--look, either jump or don't, but let's get this resolved quickly in some fashion so the rest of the thousands of us can get on with our lives.

    Why not rubber bullets?

I would have loved to have witnessed the scene of the naked idiot waving a florescent light. Only in NYC.
