Cop didn't really help his image with the high five after the beatdown.

I'm thinking that was more of a "we got him" high five, than a "yeah, did you see me kick that bastard in the face?" high five.

Not that it makes it much better.

Then you know what he did was wrong.

I have no problem with a criminal being kicked in the head. I cannot be the only one.

Anyone else notice how the cop planted his left foot like Adam Vinatieri?

Look at it in slow motion. There was a shitload of force behind that kick. And the cop wasn't exactly wearing fuzzy slippers.

I don't know he doesn't have a weapon under one of his hands in the grass.

Even though the guy's laying down and giving up?

Soldiers get reduced in rank, forfeit pay and sometimes jailed for behavior like this.

Then you stop, draw down on him and wait for help. The guy got caught up in the moment, man.

So how does your kick to the head prevent an accomplice from shooting you from the bushes?

Say the officer with the K9 was the first to arrive and the suspect was prostrate, but somehow the dog refused to listen to the officer and starting chewing on the suspects leg.

What do you think would happen to the dog?

What do you think should happen to an officer who cannot control himself?

When you pull someone over for speeding, you don't know if they have a gun in their lap. Do you kick those guys in the face, too?

This cop wasn't scared he was going to get shot. He wasn't trying to save innocent people.
He was pissed off. Rightly, I might add. But that's all it was. He was caught up in the damn moment.
And he Pat Morita'd the guy in the fucking head for the whole world to see. Brilliant move.

The dog probably gets steak in his food dish back at the station.
