That hat place, which had every vintage hat ever made, was the highlight of my trip. I got the '66 A's, the '52 Browns, the early 70s Brewers hat, which is hard to find even in Milwaukee now. Great, great store.

i've stayed at the lakefront, twice. older, yet affordable and on the water. the eats there were quite awesome, and a little expensive, as well.

Ha! I proposed to mine there. Right next to the World Series rings display. (Lame, I know!)

How did your engagement ring look next to this?

    Not nearly as cool.

Not as cool as this one, either:

A buddy of mine has this ring, and a 2007 BoSox one too.
I got to try on the 2003 ring, it was huge.
He gave it to his dad.
Back to the topic, I was just there 11 days ago, I did the HOF in less than 3 hours but I didn't stop to look at everything.

Isn't the early 70s Brewers hat just a plain blue lid with a gold M on it?

when i stayed a block and a half away, it took me two days. granted, i took my time, came and went. took long lunches. but if you want to soak it all in and remember it at a mellow pace, two days.

also, take the time to stop and read ty cobb's letter to bobby doerr in the cobb exhibit. good, good stuff.

Take a full day for the HOF. An absolute must. As buck said, it's an awe-inspiring place.

You wouldn't chug a nice glass of wine. Don't rush through the HOF.

The wives will have plenty to do in Cooperstown for a day. Very pretty place in the summer with a nice lake and neat shops.
