One thing's not said too often, but I think it's true.
They just get married 'cause there's nothing else to do.

"Take a little walk to the edge of town
    Go across the tracks
    Where the viaduct looms,
    like a bird of doom
    As it shifts and cracks
Where secrets lie in the border fires,
    in the humming wires
    Hey man, you know
    you're never coming back
Past the square, past the bridge,
past the mills, past the stacks
    On a gathering storm comes
    a tall handsome man
In a dusty black coat with
a red right hand" -- From Red Right hand by Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds.
Gives me chills ever time I hear it.

    Sometimes I feel
    Like my only friend
Is the city I live in
    The city of angel

Freedom's just another word for nothing left to lose.

They got some hungry women there
And they really make a mess outa you

Like a drunk in a midnight choir.

    Don't think twice, it's alright.

    All the Federales, they say
They could have had him any day
They only let him slip a-away
    Out of kindness I suppose

    That's just a start.

    Send lawyers, guns and money,
The shit has hit the fan.

But when you talk about destruction,
Don't you know that you can count me out? In.

I am an antichrist, I am an anarchist.

So I'm probably speaking out of my element, considering I wasn't even born when this song came out, but I think it's safe to argue that that line helped define an era.

  10. Jewels and binoculars, hang from the head of a mule.
When he died it came to me, I can't help it if I'm lucky.
Mama's in the factory, she ain't got no shoes.
Once upon a time you looked so fine threw the bums a dime in your prime, didn't you?

    There's the Bob Division.
Then there's the Everybody Else Division.

It's better to burn out than to fade away.
