  1. THIS ...
Only at Augusta I imagine it being a 100 times worse.

    Major league bullpen coach.
    "Hello? Vaughn, warm up."
    "Hello? Vaughn, you're in."
Spending 6 weeks a year in Arizona or Florida, daily meal diem, free travel, stay in the best hotels. None of the shit that the manager has to deal with.

Porn star. (can't believe it's page 3 and this hasn't been mentioned--had to check and see if I was on the wrong website.)

Product tester - Guiness Brewing Co.

3rd string QB was a great call by someone earlier on the thread. Unless of course Jay Cutler is your teammate...

And lead guitarist for a rock band is another. Sleep late, adulation of young men and women to an almost deity status, any and all women you want, drink and get stoned while working.

If I could be a working musician with my current income level, that would be pretty cool.
I don't need to be rich or adored.

That's the way I feel about singing opera. The lifestyle is awesome ... you get to travel to all kinds of cool places and stay there long enough to really get to know them. Once rehearsals are done, you have tons of free time since you always have a couple nights off between performances.

Who else would pay all my travel costs, provide me with an apartment and grocery money PLUS pay me a salary to spend 7 weeks on a beautiful island off the coast of France? Or Ireland?

    Exactly. I'm envious.
Unlike you, however, I don't have any real musical talent.

I was just talking with someone several weeks ago about this. When I think back to playing in bands in college and just after college, that was some of my happiest times.
And I still love to play.

I'm down to part-time and mostly stay-at-home dadding. It is the best.

Some great stories. Last year I saw 3 graphics guys get tossed off the broadcast 5 minutes into the first quarter of a game; then just had to sit there quietly doing nothing until the game was over. Next time I worked it was 3 new guys.

I'd want to make cult genre movies, just like John Carpenter.

MLB Groundskeeper would be pretty good. You're outside, you build a mound, mow the lawn rake the base paths and home plate, hopefully your stadium doesn't host too many concerts and you get a decent seat for the game.
I always wondered how George Toma became a legend working in KC.
