They don't even have to get it to room temperature. Just getting it to liquid nitrogen, which is 79% of the atmosphere and an easily attainable temperature, has been the goal since at least 1989.

The only difference between moons and planets is what they orbit. It's semantics almost. It's just the luck of the draw that an Earth-size moon doesn't orbit a gas giant.

Elon Musk says SpaceX will send two people on a voyage around the moon next year. He said the two have paid a "significant deposit" for the flight and are "very serious" about it, but he would not disclose their names or how much they're paying.

SpaceX says it will fly 2 people to moon next year

I have a pretty good idea I know who they are -- or, at least, one of them:

    Good strategy.
Can't be much left of her, and Bass is a little fella.
    Keep that payload light.

Also, although I know that this type of commercial venture is simply a matter of time, in this case I'll believe it when I see it.

Note, Musk isn't saying anything about bringing them back to Earth.

I'm thinking this might crossthread with the Lohan thread eventually.

20 years after her death, Audrey Meadows' remains sent 'to the Moon!'

    That would be awesome.
