    Got a chuckle out of Fark's summary of the story:

    "Newspapers urged to be 'the Wal-Mart of information purveyors.' Well, let's see. Shoddy products? Check. Poorly-paid employees? Natch. Utter indifference to customers? Houston, we have liftoff."

    I completely agree.

    Feel bad for those staffs, and those communities. The only person this development helps is Miserly Owner Who Shall Not Be Named, and his already fat checkbook.
