MADRID (AP)—Alberto Contador was stripped of his 2010 Tour de France title Monday and banned for two years after sport’s highest court found the Spanish cyclist guilty of doping.

This result shocks this cycling fan -- particularly because it was drawn out for so long, with the results delayed and delayed again, it looked for certain that Berty was going to get off Scot free.

Cycling needs to either eliminate its rules against drugs or eliminate the sport. One or the other.

The only people that seem to get bent out of shape, calling cycling dirty, etc., are the non-cycling fans.

I'm surprise, too, that he got stripped because I didn't figure they'd have the balls to do it.

Oscar Pereiro said it's BS, that Contador was innocent. This from a guy who inherited his title when Ladis was stripped despite probably being equally as doped. Oh, wait, I forgot ... with the exception of Valverde, the Spanish don't dope.

I guess Berty should have hired Mark Fabiani.

Is there anybody in cycling who is clean?
