GOP House speaker refuses to recognize motion on the floor to oust him; parliamentarians resign en masse in protest. State troopers called to Capitol in case of unrest.

    God bless Texas.

God, I know I'm a geek, but there's nothing I like more than a good parliamentary procedure story.

I loved the filibuster episode of the West Wing.
  3. Shouldn't Tom Delay have alerted Homeland Security by now?

Molly Ivins is smiling somewhere as the Texas legislature continues to show its stupidity.

Some of my fav Ivins columns were about the Texas Leg. God she'd be having a field day right now.
