Sentencing is Monday. Could get as much as 30 years behind bars.

    Awww. Too bad.

    Overcompensation, for certain.

I was watching CTV and CBC last night, the news came on and both outlets said that since Conrad Black is still not showing any remorse for his actions, he is likely to face a lengthy sentence.

That's what being a hardass gets you.

Wonder how Barbara Amiel will deal with her husband's sentence...

    He thinks he was entitled.

He's entitled to what he'll get in prison, as well.

If he keeps up with statements like that, he should expect a rude awakening in prison by inmates.

No sentence yet, but judge has said a 6 1/2 to 8 year sentence is appropriate.

Watch, the fucker will get 2 years and it will be in Club Fed.

It's on the low end of the estimate. 6 1/2 years.

Was watching television show (I cannot mention what, because of ridicule I'll get on thread) when the verdict came down.

Black has to serve 85 percent of the sentence. That's rough. Many people that were interviewed were not sure if he would make it to the last day of the sentence.

Doubtful his appeal will be successful.

And the stock price of SVN finally headed north of $1 a share.

You know what I'd like to see? Him appeal, lose, and then get years added for having the impertinance to challenge what is effectively an open-and-shut case.
