I was wondering if either someone was thinking of Kendall Gill in a Charlotte Hornets jersey or was someone flashing back to his days in Champaign-Urbana?

I thought of Gill often while watching Chet Lemon quarterback the Jags.

Funny that Turner Gill had the good turn professionally in football after all these years.

Mike Rozier and Irving Fryar had a pretty good NFL careers, while Gill got hung out to dry because he was an option QB.

Wanna bet that whoever compiled that agate was not from Nebraska?

That's Urbana-Champaign and my cousin is/was friends with Kendall Gill.
My favorite Illini off that team though is and always be Kenny Battle.
Ain't easy being a 6-1 center in the Big 10. They listed Battle at 6-6, but that is a lie. Six-one at best, probably shorter though, Gill towered over him.

Totally off the title topic, but did I read it right when I saw Brian Kelly got just one vote?

I don't care what you think of the Big East, but the coach went through, what, four quarterbacks this season and still somehow managed to get his team to 10-2? That's a remarkable accomplishment.

I'd like to see any other coach do that.

I was really, really hoping Michigan would go after him last year. I feel vindicated, but still feel like shit.
