    This idea has been around for at least 20 years.

    Nothing new here. Still as stupid now as it was then.

    An interesting idea, but doesn't somebody still need to input all the stats and game information? Doesn't someone still have to gather quotes and input those too?? In the amount of time it would take to do all that you could just write the story yourself. This doesn't seem like it would save any time and/or manpower.

    Plenty of writers write with the personality of a computer.

    There's probably money to be made with setting up a wire service that uses PR-machine quotes from the major sports leagues.
