    Cops acting on a tip find pot plants in plain view, confiscate them. They leave an anonymous ransom note for the plants' owner demanding $200 for the plants' safe return.

    The plants' owner was prepared to pay the ransom but it turns out he'll need the money to try to make bail.

    Interesting. You would have thought the guy would have been paranoid enough to resist calling the number.
