Because he got the Moddy Seal of Approval. That's why.
And, yes, I'd hire Sonner. Except I'm not in the bidness anymore.

I would go to Brother Jimmy's. It's a BBQ place and bar with an obsession for ACC hoops -- always a game on during the season. I can vouch only for the original location on the Upper East Side. Ribs are very good:

    Southern Appreciation Day? Nice.

Thanks for the tip, Frank. We may have to check this place out. It's rare that I can turn down a good plate of ribs. Actually, that never happens. I'm hungry.

Ryan Sonner doesn't come to New York; New York comes to Ryan Sonner.

Not to question you, but ummm, living where you live, why would you want to go to New York to eat BBQ?

Because it's the perfect way to top off a New York City day after fishing in a quiet stream and watching a dirt track race.

How'd I know that was coming?

I would say the BBQ is incidental to the ACC-obsessed crowd. The BBQ is great by NYC standards, superior to Virgil's, IMO, but I've certainly had better in the Carolinas. My gold standard would be Henry's Smokehouse in Greenville, S.C. But I don't think you'll find a better place to watch the selection show. It's insane.

And why would you want to go see the Knicks?

    Happily, I stand corrected.

Wow. How original. I'm impressed. This is the reason I almost decided against starting this thread. If you can't contribute to the topic, I'd appreciate it if you didn't post. But we all know that won't happen, so whatever.

And I'm not going to NYC to eat BBQ. Did you not read the opening post?
