You're already at least equal to half the pro beat writers out there.

Oh, he'll get no trouble from me. The more people there are to watch football and rugby with over here, the better.

I can see a typical day already. After a breakfast containing a ridiculous amount of pancakes and coffee instead of tea, round to GB hack's house to watch Premiership soccer and Top Gear and sing songs about the grand old days in the old countries. Then, a whistlestop tour of SportsChick, IJAG and whoever's places (I too am a slut) for fun times and sweet somethings. Use a damn funny turn of phrase to make my excuses without getting beaten up before adjourning to the US v El Salvador world cup match, where I will wow my new colleagues with my patchwork knowledge of MLB. How we will laugh. Pass the time of day with Landon Donovan and Freddy Adu after ("Yes, TheDelaney, I'd love to help you with your award-winning feature piece for Sports Illustrated"). Home for a well-earned rest. Repeat cycle.

No, seriously, thanks for the advice and the welcome. It's only an idea at the moment, am considering going to Australia as well, or maybe not going at all. But there are some good suggestions here, food for thought at least. I appreciate it. I'll let you all know how it turns out.
