Fine. I stand corrected. But a site built entirely without java? What is this? 1999?

Fair enough. Now having visited their web site and finding what little info I can, let me elaborate further.

What set me off was that in the first post, announcing the potential opening, specifically pointed out no web or at least suggested that no real attention is paid toward online. And this is something worth pointing out? In this day and age, any daily newspaper/news organization that does nothing or very little to enhance their online presence is doing themselves, their readers and any potential readers an incredible disservice. It's shocking to me that a paper so close to L.A. could be so far out of the loop.

The AVP may do some wonderful journalism, have a great staff and be a true asset to the community. That's not my issue. However, if that web site -- which appears to generate little or no ad revenue -- is a sign of how they approach their overall business, then I'd have serious concerns about the organization's future.
