A better question, why would anybody want to prevent a young kid who possibly comes from nothing from making money?

You do realize that in every other industry, the performers are allowed to earn their market value, don’t have you?

Just wanted to point out that even in an era when so many people are obsessed with breaking everything down into liberal/conservative, this is one the strangest damn paragraphs I've ever read.

Care to defend any of it?

I mean, I'm pretty liberal. What are my views on Apple, Google and Amazon?

I hate the idea of tanking. HATE it. What about it makes it a liberal/conservative thing?

Do you honestly believe the corporate logo is a consideration in wearing a soccer jersey? My favorite club is Ajax. Does my wearing their jersey mean I have a certain view of ABN AMRO, their jersey sponsor the year I bought it?

How is liking the relegation system tied to political leanings?

    I'll hang up and listen.

    It’s his schtick. It’s ridiculous.

If I'm on an academic scholarship, I can receive the same $250K value.

But I'm also allowed to work and earn without restriction.

Patrick Mahomes isn’t earning his market value. Not anything close to it.

    Poor comparison.

Mahomes is a member of a union which negotiated with owners as to permissible minimum and maximum wages for a contract, and working conditions, and also is permitted to earn additional money outside that contract.

College athletes are currently not permitted to negotiate their terms, or have a union negotiate parameters of contracts, and are not allowed to earn additional money.

I saw him in a commercial on tv last night.
Why are you against Tua having one?

Lol. You think this is an apt comparison?

In what other market but the NFL does he have any value at all? Canadian football? The arena league?

    The NFL is the market.
