Just saw this in Publisher's Weekly (the book industry trade mag)

While global warming has become about as controversial as gravity, Gore is moving on to more incendiary topics, according to the catalog description of his new book "The Assault on Reason": "A visionary analysis of how the politics of fear, secrecy, cronyism, and blind faith has combined with the degration of the public sphere to create an environment dangerously hostile to reason." Says Locke, "You can expect this book to create a great, great deal of debate and conversation."

    He will be everywhere.

By incendiary topics, I thought it meant fashion guidelines, perhaps including the effects of global warming upon the white-before-Memorial-Day rule. I was bracing for the firestorm.

C'mon J_D. You were worried Gore's book was actually going to be a collection of Charlie Brown statements.
