I've really grown to like to Baldwin after watching that episode, then reading the things he's written for HuffPo about fracking (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/alec-baldwin/) and America (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/alec-baldwin/obama-reelection-2012_b_1911460.html), and then listening to that hour interview with Billy Joel on New York radio http://www.wnyc.org/shows/heresthething/2012/jul/30/

    It's almost 6 p.m., and I haven't done any work in almost 30 minutes.
I'll have to listen to the Billy Joel interview another time. I've got to go home.

Thanks for the heads up these, though. Great stuff.

  3. I read about this but shied away from it because whatever I read was kind of lukewarm about the thing.
I'll have to give it a listen.

    Thanks.

I've only watched the David and Richards episodes so far and I did not come away thinking that Seinfeld overplayed the laugh.
In the David show it just seemed like a couple of guys getting together who had known each other for a long time Jerry seemed to
be laughing in anticipation of the funy stuff from Larry

Good blog post, Xan. I know it was tough, and I hope it hasn't ruined your career, but it was best that you got out of there. Everyone who knew you on here saw how burned out you were getting. And you seem to be in a much better place now.

I thought the Carl Reiner/Mel Brooks episode was the best of the series.

Was enthusiastic about watching the one with Larry David. Unfortunately, there wasn't one legitimate laugh in it.

Same here. Just watched the Larry David one. ... I think they stole the material from twomiddleagedjewskvetching.com.

Overselling really is the right word.

Seinfeld oversells every single laugh, even if something isn't funny.
