The Sports and News thread was locked. I am going to post some of the columns on this issue because there's enough variety -- and dare I say a bit of poetry -- in them that a substantive discussion can be had about the points made within them without devolving into whatever argument got the previous thread locked.

Here are the voices of others. Add as you feel necessary. I'm not guaranteeing all of these are equally good. I'll post as I find them.

I saw the Reilly column... I'm guessing he wasn't the only one to use the ex-fiancee angle, but I thought it was a pretty good column.

I would like to see a columnist tackle this line from Collins...

"I can't wait to start a family of my own."

    Everything else is too easy.

I think they saw the direction it was headed and it was a preemptive strike... Kind of like Minority Report. :D

Litke and a guy from the FWST suggests that someone needs to hire this guy...and apparently regardless of the fact that he's not worthy of a roster spot on ability.

I started reading Litke yesterday and was reminded why I rarely use his column. It seemed to be "because he came out, he is owed a job in the NBA." I used the Purdy column.

It's very difficult to assess the crappy factor of the last man on the end of each NBA bench.

Bubba Watson apparently Tweeted his support to Broussard for "standing up for the Bible," or some such nonsense.

Everyone in this country can have their own opinion. Nothing wrong with that.

What's wrong is taking away a person's ability to legally marry - bigamists set aside.

    Ha ha...why bigamists set aside?

If this is really all about "consenting adults," then that's none of our business either.

Who decides what's right and wrong, how do we know when they decided it, and how do we know they're inerrant?

Because I have been here long enough to know someone would have pointed out that people already married cannot marry again if I said everyone should be able to marry if they like. Oh, those under 18 can be set aside as well. :)
