    This has nothing to do with the story, but the credibility of the writer. Vickers was one of the best players in the Big 12 last season. He's no stiff.

    This might work as a jumping-off point talking to your buddies, but the juxtaposition is too hard to pull off in a traditional column. The comparisons seemed shallow and forced.
