Elway must be the best QB ever.

Just saw that on ESPN... Hey, it's not like the guy retired 14 years ago, oh wait...

I'm expecting a huge game from Craig Morton next week.

    Well, Manning wouldn't fit there.

Sunday's headline in the Dispatch: Archie Griffin runs for three TDs

More like Frank Tripucka. Why else would they bring his jersey number out of retirement?

At least they didn't say Tebow.

I'm envisioning a tired desk chief staring at the TV as they show a picture of Elway as he's writing the headline.

I'm sure the guy is miserable this morning. It's a bad mistake, not because he'll get fired for it, but because it's embarrassing in a way that it will be all over the national news.

At least the Dispatch Editor is trying to make light of the situation on his twitter feed. "...I knew Elway was good but not THAT good."

So, what's worse? That headline (two time zones to the east) or the hometown paper where the game was played failing to get the final score into the print edition and numerous references to Manning's six touchdown passes?

"Unavailable at press time" papers are the best. Nothing says 20th-century news for the 21st century quite like it.

But to answer your question: The Elway headline is worse. That's Hall of Fame blooper material.

I cast my vote for the snarky, condescending, trash-talking Mark Kiszla column based on totally out of date information as THE most embarrassing moment.

Did these guys catch any of those seven touchdown passes?
