Is Andrew Erickson leaving? He's done an awesome job on the Crew beat. Lots of news with this team. Crew could have new owners, a new coach and a new goalkeeper next season.

And they could be in Austin.

Lots of openings in Columbus of late.

I don't know exactly why, but I feel like an MLS beat would be a ton of fun.

Browns owner Jimmy Haslem is buying them, keeping them in Columbus. MLS has acknowledged the deal is in the works and that Austin will get an expansion team instead.

Columbus is a decent city and the Crew would be a good beat. Dispatch has done good work in the past.

Be alert it's a Gatehouse paper, though, which could be part of the reason behind the recent turnover.

Erickson tweeted today that he's heading to D.C. to edit American University's magazine.
Seems like the Dispatch has had more turnover in the past couple years than it had in several decades. Only a slight exaggeration.
