Didn't see anything about this on here. But multiple vegas sports books have pulled their lines and aren't taking betting on the Notre Dame - Florida State game. I don't know if that means anything is imminent with Jameis Winston.

It means they don't know. If they knew, they'd try to exploit it.

Right. I think it just means that no one was laying money on FSU because bettors were not sure he's going to play.

Didn't get that cover. But agree.

    Hooray for regional covers!

I got a different cover too. This one is brilliant.

It's an NCAA season with no completely surefire dominant program.
Lots of similarly strong teams across the nation, and it's nice to see the Mississippi schools
rising up to make national waves, plus show some staying power of more than just a week or two.
Long way to go, though. Lots of really good teams in the collegiate mix.
And you have Condoleeza Rice plus 12 others tabbed to choose who gets into the playoff.
    Every week's a season.

Not much talk about Big 10 football here, for some strange reason ...

In my completely unbiased opinion, the conference's best game this week is West-leading Iowa traveling to Maryland. Terrapins are favored by 4.5 points.

Been boning up on those Terps, Iowa's traditional Big 10 rival of, oh, two months. Stefon Diggs is the real deal at wide receiver, but like the Hawkeyes, can Maryland find a QB to get him the ball? And if Maryland's been allowing a lot of rushing yards this season. In theory, Hawks should take advantage of that.

Actually, considering the pace and style of Iowa's offense, I think the turtle mascot belongs to the wrong team.

We tend to focus on games with impact on the championship race.
