A lot of the seats at the Big House are pretty far away for football:

It'll really depend on how good the teams are. If Tennessee and Va. Tech turn things around by then, coupled with the novelty factor it could do quite well. Even 150,000 would be pretty amazing, yet still look like a Jaguars home game with loads of empty seats at the top of the bowl.
If both of them suck, it might be painful to see the crowd. Gotta think anything less than 130,000, considering this is designed to blow the record of 115,000 out of the water, would be seen as a colossal flop.

I think it'll sell out. I just don't think they'll set it up for more than 200,000.

Hey, I was at that game, too. I was in the first row of the upper deck right behind the basket UNC was shooting at in the second half, so I actually had a pretty good view.

Twitter photo showing Neyland Stadium inside Bristol Motor Speedway (don't know how to embed Twitpics, or even if it's possible):

    You were saying?

Are they planning to put people in those end zone seats? If so, I hope those people aren't expecting to see a football game or anything.

It was my personal revenge for the 2004 Music City Bowl.

How much is at stake for Texas coach Mack Brown this weekend vs. Oklahoma?

I won't say the Longhorns have to beat the Sooners, but it can't be 55-17 or 63-21 like the past two seasons or the jackels will really start howling so loud it might get unbearable.

Louisville not looking like a national championship contender. And Bridgewater has missed some easy throws. Kid needs to hit the weight room, doesn't he?
