College Football Week 4

Discussion in 'Sports and News' started by Chef2, Sep 16, 2019.

  1. How is Michigan ranked?
They are top to bottom terrible.
They looked awful against Army and they getting throttled by a solid Wisconsin team.
Who thought this was a Top 10 team? A top 15 team?
Harbaugh sucks. His recruiting sucks. His coaching sucks and it shows.

Cue the Harbaugh to the NFL rumors.

Every year there's one Top 10 team that, in hindsight, was wildly overrated and winds up lucky to make a bowl game. Looks like we found that team for 2019.

I’m not sold on Florida, either.

LSU has 434 yards and 38 points in the first half against Vanderbilt. The receivers look like they're running skeleton routes most of the time. I know Vandy is no great shakes, but LSU's passing offense is really fun to watch right now.

Florida is perhaps the second-best team in the SEC East. Or worse than every team in the SEC West.

A week after laying an egg against Arizona State, Mark Dantonio became the career victories leader at Michigan State today
The Spartans beat the shit out of Northwestern

Not there either. Two FCS programs and three unranked teams make up their early schedule. Kentucky win was decent but they are getting fat on bad teams.

Meanwhile. Tennessee needs to cut bait with Guarantano, probably needed to do it before the season started.

Wisconsin is the current case against pre-season rankings. They look every bit like a top 5 worthy team.

For all the grief the Pac 12 has taken, Cal's win at Ole Miss today makes the Pac 12 5-3 against members of other Power 5 leagues.
And that was a pretty good win. They played at 9 am Pacific time in the oppressive heat and held on. I'm not sure why the booth didn't buzz to review whether the third-down pass to the 1 was really a TD, however. Why not look?
