If going to an eight or 16 team college playoff means removing this fucking shit show of a weekend, then I’m all for it.

Is this the worst slate of games ever in the middle of September?

    Uh...
    I just...
    Hm...
How does expanding the playoff affect the way the games appeal to you this weekend? Those dots aren’t connecting for me.

I suspect this is pretty common. First couple of weeks are the time for powers to play other powers at neutral sites. Next week is often the start of conference play. So this week becomes a tune up week not unlike the SEC’s travesty of the next-to-last week of the regular season.

The description for the Ohio State-Indiana games is "The Buckeyes try for their 25th straight win over the Hoosiers." That's a great conference.

An argument against expanding the playoffs is too many games for the players.

The extra non-conference game is a joke.

At one time, Pitt-Penn State and Arizona State-Michigan State would have been marquee games
    This is not that time

Maryland's offense turtling in the first half against Temple. Heading into halftime down 7-2, and with one of the most "WTF are you thinking!?" coaching decisions of the day so far.
Maryland, with two points to its name so far, has fourth-and-8 at the Temple 42 with 12 seconds left and two timeouts.
    And they fucking. Punted.
Do you have that little faith in your defense to keep a team from going at least 60 yards in one play? Why wouldn't you throw one into the end zone or try to pick up the first down and maybe steal a field goal there? Who the hell punts in that situation?

Temple's special teams are doing everything they can to lose this game

We've got mass confusion at Temple.
