Either Arkansas or Ole Miss is going to get its only SEC win of the season!

I think Clemson could be cruising by halftime.

Army at Michigan is a fun upset pick, but not likely. Still, love when a big power faces the triple option.

I'm also interested to see how Boise State fares on a short week after traveling to Tallahassee.

After a horrific opening weekend, I'm now looking for overreactions on the lines:

    Top plays:
    Syracuse -1 at Maryland.
    Miami -6 at UNC
South Florida +6 at Georgia Tech
    Nebraska -4.5 at Colorado
    NMSU +55 at Alabama
UCLA -7 vs. San Diego State
    Texas +5 vs. LSU
    Washington -14 vs. Cal
    Hawaii -6.5 vs. Oregon State

Fun fact about week 2s. - seven of the 16 NFL playoff teams last year lost in week 1. Only two of them to other playoff teams.

Harrumph! This doesn't count. Play them in November, dammit!

Since the start of the 2011 season, Alabama is 2-13-1 against the spread when favored by 39 points or more against non-Power 5 conference teams. They were 0-2 last season (favored by 49 vs. Louisiana-Lafayette and won 56-14, and by 51 vs. The Citadel and won 50-17).

That said, New Mexico State might be bad enough to give up 60 or 70 and not cover.

Is that the largest published spread in history? I’m not a gambler, but I’ve never noticed one like that.

IIRC, Florida State was in the 60s against Savannah State or somebody like that a few years ago.
    And, IIRC, they covered.

55 is too much not to take.

Reason No. 3,564 why I don't bet: If I did, a thunderstorm would hit Tallahassee early in the third quarter -- late enough for the game to be called and considered final but too soon for the Noles to hit the magic number.
