Notre Dame is the Plaxico Burress of college football.

Brain Surgeons block a Utah field goal that would have tied it at the end. Too bad.

Sports gambling is folly Chapter 99.

Trailing 17-14, Utah lines up for a game-tying field goal. USC blocks it and runs back for TD as time expires. But the score is negated because the Trojans bench swarms the field during the runback. And thus USC (-8.5) fails to cover.

And Michigan makes a game of it again, 24-21., 10:47 left in game.

Well, that penalty against Michigan was phantom. Wow.

Remember when Michigan and ND played games this close ... and they meant something?

Notre Dame is AWESOME if you just ignore all their turnovers.

    EDIT: And penalties.

You'd never see crap like that in the pros. Gambling on 20-year-olds is indeed risky business.

Vandy 24, defending Big East champs 21. Not saying, just saying.

I'm left to wonder: Would the officials have made the same call if it was a game-winning (not spread-covering) TD?

Big East champs who lost a lot, including their head caoch.

    Not saying, just saying.
