O/U is 75, and they had 49 12 minutes into the game.

So #24 Marshall is now on a pace to give up 126 points.

Nebraska and Iowa don't like holding onto possession very long. Iowa has four turnovers and Nebraska has two at the half.

Dredging this up from Week 1 for a couple of reasons.

    1. I'm still not sure what the answer is about Sumlin, but I suspect coming into the season, if you'd asked the national media who is the better coach, Sumlin or Pinkel, Pinkel would have finished second. Maybe GP needs to hire Sumlin's PR manager?

    2. The sudden rise and equally sudden fall of Kenny Trill Hill has been one of this season's most under reported stories. After this Week 1 game referenced above, he was on people's Heisman short lists, FFS.

Overexaggerating, as usual. They only gave up half that.

One play summed up the whole game — and pretty much the entire Big 10 conference this year.

Iowa's up 24-7. Nebraska tries a short field goal, which is blocked and the ball bounces away to the right, staying behind the line of scrimmage.

Two Hawkeye defenders could have grabbed the ball, but they watch it roll dead. Wouldn't want to try and run it back for a touchdown or anything.

A Nebraska guy eventually picks up the ball, and instead of trying to run toward the end zone, just stands there. Iowa players stand in front of him. No one moves for a couple of seconds, then the refs finally blow the play dead.

That's Big 10 football — and especially Iowa football — in a nutshell: KEEP EVERYTHING IN FRONT OF YOU AND DON'T MAKE A MISTAKE. NEVER TAKE A RISK. EVER.

That was a completely bad-ass 2-point conversion by Missouri:

Can you imagine the cajones it takes to call that play there?

Is Pinkel not the most underrated coach in CFB?
