What if Nicholls State made the FCS playoffs? That game would not have worked.

This game ws originally scheduled for September but was postponed due to the hurricane. It was rescheduled for this Saturday with the understanding that had Nicholls made the playoffs or OSU made the Pac 12 title game, the game would not have been played.

Same thing if Oregon State had won the Pac-12 North. They would have canceled it.

    EDIT: What A_QB said.

Louisville's move to the ACC, coupled with Syracuse and Pitt and Rutgers leaving, means Cincinnati is the only former Big East champion with plans to remain in the league.

Louisville w/o Bridgewater. I'm amending pick: Rutgers in a shutout.

You forgot UConn. And inability to find a fire escape doesn't equal plans to remain.

About as good a microcosm of the SEC mind-set as you'll get.

    Yeah, but pretty damn creative.

I really hope they lose the title game. But then that would mean Notre Dame wins. But actually the whole Notre Dame arrogance thing is going to be unchecked for the next five years anyway just since they made it this far, so it is safer to root against the SEC in this case.

Richt doesn't seem like a raging egomaniacal self-important asshole, though, so that will make it tougher. He really doesn't fit in with the SEC.
