Not on par with moving the Rose Bowl to Durham, N.C. but ...

So if Northwestern runs the table and beats Ohio St., will they "meet the eye test" or get treated like an unbeaten G5 trying to crash the party?

If Florida beats 'Bama in the SEC championship, and Clemson beats Notre Dame in the ACC championship, will there be 2 SEC and 2 ACC teams in the playoff? Would Ohio St. get left out?

~ Questions from Finebaum callers this afternoon. (I might have slightly rephrased the end of the first question just a bit)

Might be time for a new OC if he needs a play sheet for what to do with the ball on your 2-yard line with a 30+ point lead and less than a minute to go.

Working @Neutral Corner 's ... ummm, corner, here.
Southern Miss and UAB have canceled their game. From all appearances it will not be made up. UAB has an open date next week, but Southern Miss has a rescheduled game with UTEP on the schedule.
UAB's next game, COVID permitting, is Dec. 12 at Rice, which will be six weeks since its last one on Halloween. It has now had three consecutive games postponed because of COVID.

CUSA is becoming a joke. They intended to play 54 conference games after ODU opted out. They have played 28 so far and will have a maximum of 41.

USC has a positive. Player was with them in Utah. Saturday's game vs. Colorado in jeopardy.

UAB's last home game with Southern Miss cancelled due to their problem with Covid. One game on the road remaining. Unless a conference game can be cobbled together on 12/5, UAB will not have enough conference games to qualify for the division championship.

I won't be sorry to see the last of this ill advised season.

Houston has COVID-19 issues, so its home game against Tulsa is postponed. Tulsa Time will be in the future.

Sagarin has unranked and 3-2 Iowa as the third best team according to his computer. Someone get that computer a COVID test stat.

Add Minnesota-Wisconsin to the list. First time they haven't met since 1906.

And as has been noted throughout Twitter, this is a great achievement in Minnesota passive-aggressiveness, as the cancellation of this game ensures Wisconsin will not have played enough games to qualify for the Big 10 title game (which they weren't getting to anyway after that loss to Northwestern).

The playoff rankings are out and hearts are broken in Provo.
