And, for Arkansas to make the BCS title game, they'd have to beat LSU and jump Bama, too. After a 24-point ass-whipping, that most likely ain't happening.

Against current Top 25 teams, Auburn has scored 24, 16, 14, 10 and 7 points.

Just because I can't stand anyone thinking Auburn is better than Alabama this year, they've played five common opponents.

vs. Arkansas: Alabama won 38-14 / Auburn lost 38-14
vs. Florida: Alabama won 38-10 / Auburn won 17-6
vs. LSU: Alabama lost 9-6 / Auburn lost 45-10
vs. Mississippi: Alabama won 52-7 / Auburn won 41-23
vs. Mississippi State: Alabama won 24-7 / Auburn won 41-34

Alabama beat those five common opponents by a total score of 158-47.
Auburn lost to those five common opponents by a total score of 146-125.
Auburn played three of those five games at home. Alabama played two of those five games at home.
If your argument hinges on the fact that Auburn scored against LSU, keep in mind that the single touchdown came with 2:22 remaining in a then-45-3 game with all of LSU's defensive starters out.

Overall, Auburn has scored 24.2 points per game and allowed 29.4 points per game this season.
Alabama has scored 34.5 points per game and allowed 7.1 points per game this season.

But, yeah, "Auburn can score." Just not as frequently as Alabama. Or its opponents.

    No need to be snarky.

I just have a feeling Auburn can beat Alabama. Plus, it's at Jordan-Hare, so that will help as well.

We're assuming Alabama's going to beat Georgia Southern in the main event of this weekend's much-anticipated SEC-SoCon Challenge (Furman-Florida and Samford-Auburn as the undercard).

Auburn has played three defenses all year that are comparable to Alabama's (and neither of them are as good). They are...

    LSU- Auburn scored 10.
    South Carolina- Auburn scored 16.
    Georgia- Auburn scored 7.

Two of those three were complete laughers, including Georgia's 45-7 romp this past Saturday. The Dawgs had TWENTY-ONE more first downs than Auburn.

So yeah, Auburn can score. Against lousy teams. They'll give Bama a test only if Bama craps itself.

    Fixed :D

I kind of started all this. Was just trying to point out that this was the only way Arkansas gets to Atlanta without a ticket. Auburn is a train wreck right now. No way they beat Alabama.
