This week's top games, featuring the SportsJournalists.com poll, Sportsbook.ag's early lines and p.m. Eastern times:

    Tuesday, Nov. 6

    Ball State at No. 23 Toledo (-6½), 8, ESPN2
    For more, follow @WhitlockJason.

    Wednesday, Nov. 7

    Bowling Green at Ohio (-3), 8, ESPN2
The Mid-American Conference revolution will be televised, midweek on the Deuce.

    Thursday, Nov. 8

    Louisiana-Monroe at Arkansas State (-7), 7, ESPNU
Arkansas' nemesis vs. Arkansas' coach after next.

No. 8 Florida State (-14) at Virginia Tech, 7:30, ESPN
It's not so much that they love their Beamer Ball in Blacksburg as that they don't have shit else to do.

    Friday, Nov. 9

    Pittsburgh (-3½) at Connecticut, 8, ESPN2
The MAC is better than the Big East Conference this season. It's not even particularly close.

    Saturday, Nov. 10

No. 11 Louisville (-3) at Syracuse, 12, ABC
This arguably is the second toughest game on Louisville's season schedule. You're reading that correctly.

Arkansas at No. 13 South Carolina (-14), 12, CBS
John L. Smith is three weeks from unemployment. We would watch that reality show.

Iowa State at No. 20 Texas (-10½), 12
The upcoming expansive rebranding of MackBrown-TexasFootball.com means DeLoss Dodds can be a job creator.

Army at No. 24 Rutgers (-18), 12, ESPNU
Support our troops. Embarrass the Big East.

Northwestern at Michigan (-11), 12, ESPN
This game is available on ESPN3D. But the teams are flat.

    Wisconsin (-7) at Indiana, 12, ESPN2
Best argument against NCAA sanctioning ever.

Miami (Fla.) at Virginia (-1), 12, ABC
The Cavaliers recently have used an Alabama transfer at quarterback. These are the types of things shitty Atlantic Coast Conference teams' fan bases get excited about.

    Louisiana-Lafayette at No. 7 Florida (-26½), 12:20
The Gators' best offensive player is the other team's quarterback.

    Missouri at Tennessee (-3½), 12:20
Derek Dooley should join Joker Phillips if he drops this one.

No. 12 Oregon State at No. 15 Stanford (-4½), 3, Fox
We're guessing these teams are sick of hearing about Oregon, maybe.

Arizona State at No. 21 Southern Cal, 3
At this point, the Trojans are playing more for Oregon's and Notre Dame's strength of schedule.

    No. 16 Texas A&M at No. 1 Alabama (-13½), 3:30, CBS
Johnny "Scooby Doo" Manziel won't be able to move, much less jackhammer-fuck costumed coeds, when this is through.

Maryland at No. 10 Clemson (-31), 3:30, ESPNU
The Terrapins are starting a reserve freshman linebacker at quarterback. You can't make this shit up.

    Baylor at No. 14 Oklahoma (-20½), 3:30
It's not as much that Robert Griffin III was the best thing in Bears football history as that he was the only reason they ever will beat a non-Kansas Big 12 Conference team again.

    Penn State at No. 17 Nebraska (-7½), 3:30, ABC/ESPN2
Surely good, hearty, Midwestern Cornhuskers fans have too much moral fiber for boy-rape jokes.

West Virginia at Oklahoma State (-7½), 3:30, ABC/ESPN2
Please do not refer to this game as the Holgo Bowl. The Holgo Bowl is where Dana Holgorsen vomits up a liter of Jack Daniels every morning before returning to the voluptuous housewife in his bed.

No. 3 Kansas State at TCU, 7, Fox
Bill Snyder isn't withholding information on Collin Klein's injury. He forgot about it. Who's Collin Klein?

    No. 6 Georgia (-15½) at Auburn, 7, ESPN2
Gene Chizik only hopes they don't take away those sweet windbreaker Under Armour shirts.

No. 22 Mississippi State at No. 9 LSU (-14½), ESPN
Les Miles was hoping to punt on first down at least once this season. Why not this game?

No. 19 Louisiana Tech (-20) at Texas State, 7
This game is on The Longhorn Network. We no longer have any concept as to how that station operates.

No. 4 Notre Dame (-19) at Boston College, 8, ABC
Linesmakers have not watched many Fighting Irish games.

No. 2 Oregon (-28) at California, 10:30, ESPN
Kenjon Barner will be let down to find himself sitting by the third quarter again.

    No. 18 UCLA (-14½) at Washington State, 10:30, ESPN2
Jim E. Mora thinks his son might reach the playoffs.

Seeing the John L. Smith comment above. I think it would be fascinating to follow three or so college assistants from November to January, each having to deal with recruiting, job security, possibly moving, and oh yeah...coaching football. Hell, even the ones on winning teams don't know if their head coach will bring them back for another year. I don't know how they and their families deal with that stuff around the holidays, and I figure every college assistant in the country deals with this every year.

That Georgia by 15.5 line at Auburn should grow.

Not only is Maryland's starting quarterback a freshman reserve linebacker, but their second-string QB is a walk-on tight end.

Notre Dame is great on the road. It's at home where they have trouble with shitty teams. Domers are 4-0 ATS this year away from South Bend

I would take Oregon if it were in the 40's.

As it were against Colorado, they could have 28 covered by half.

Syracuse and the win. Orange are much improved and have a QB who has been around the block a few times. Their 5 losses are by 40 points total.

    Rutgers also will beat Louisville.

And lemme tell you, he PLAYED like you'd expect a linebacker trying to play quarterback would play. I have a better arm than him.

That FSU-VT line has grown from 12 at open to 14 in the last couple of days. Interesting.

Virginia is favored over Miami? Hm.

FSU will cover. And them some. It's gonna be ugly. Uglier than usual.

It's possible for the Purdue-Indiana game to decide the Big Ten Leaders Division.
