College Football running thread -- Week 3 -- Revenge of Scott Bentley

Discussion in 'Sports and News' started by slappy4428, Sep 14, 2009.

  1. WMU can score and Miami Ohio is a far cry from the Big Ben teams of old.
And avoid Penn State to cover.

    Some other picks...

    Arizona over Iowa
    Akron over Indiana

That's sort of why betting on ANY game is a fool's endeavor. There's no point of demarcation where you should or shouldn't bet.

Point spreads render every game a coin flip.

    PSU (-28) could win 37-10. Or 38-9.

Georgia Tech (-4.5) could win 20-17. Or 23-17.

Or Kyle Orton could throw a pass, and . . .

Orton had already covered before the tipped ball. Now if you bet the money-line on Broncos, the tipped pass was huge.

Florida will kick Tennessee's ass, yes, but it won't be nearly as bad as people think it'll (want it to) be. UT's D is stout, so unless Crompton turns the ball over a ton on the Vols' side of the fiel...

    Eh, nevermind.

What the hell is going on at UCLA at the quarterback position, someone needs to return the idol to the Hawaiian cave.

    A broken jaw?

Tom Cable was not involved. Or so I've been told.

If the Jayhawks forge a three-touchdown lead before the start of the fourth quarter, can Bill Self and Mike Krzyzewski pick a dozen guys each and finish at Allen Fieldhouse? Might make it more fun to watch.

Whatever the spread is, I'd take Middle Tennessee to cover this weekend.

I like Baylor this year, I like Briles as a coach and what he is doing. Robert Griffin is a stud QB, almost like Terrell Pryor with a brain. I think it will be close, so I'd take UConn with the points, Baylor doesn't have the talent to find the kills switch yet. But if they win this one it could be the year they finally go to a bowl.
