College football offseason police blotter running thread

Tried to find an already existing thread to post this in, but couldn't find one where it really fit. So I figured I'd start one, since this is the time of year --- between spring practice and fall practice --- that college football's finest always seem to find themselves in a bit of trouble.

First up is (former) Florida cornerback Janoris Jenkins, who was arrested for marijuana possession on Saturday and dismissed from the team on Tuesday.

Florida's obviously loaded with talent, but this one's gonna hurt. Jenkins is a three-year starter and an excellent player.

Rumor has it he's considering entering the NFL supplemental draft.

It's also a change for the Gators, who pretty much let their players run amok during the Urban Meyer years. Looks like things are going to be a little different under Will Muschamp.

Janoris Jenkins should really have his own police blotter running thread.

I read yesterday this was his second arrest within a couple of months for possession of marijuana.

Florida thanks Ohio State for taking the pressure off of them.

I wonder how much of an issue it would be for Meyer if he emerges as a candidate for the OSU job. This is a guy who recruited the biggest group of scumbags in college football.

But but but.....I thought Penn State did things the right way! The "Penn State way."

Some odd entries in this year's Fulmer Cup sweepstakes. I mean, Iowa State? Rice?

I thought Shannon really cleaned the Miami program up (and yes I know he's gone). Doesn't look like it.

The gap between Penn State and State Pen seems to be closing.

Auburn is No. 1 and Chizik's previous stop is No. 3.
