Army hasn't whipped anybody's ass that badly since Desert Storm.

You've got at least three freaking weeks to prepare for Army. You can sit your DBs and put 10 in the box. Don't know how you could be that bad against the run. Army threw four passes.

Kelvin Hopkins became Army's first 1,000-yard passer since 2007.

Jan. 2 - after the bowl game - figure details will become a lot more clear.

They had Oklahoma beat in Norman.

I've always wondered how service academy teams vary from year to year, era to era. The offense is usually the same, seems like the players would be pretty much the same - is it generally how good the quarterback is?

    It usually goes
    1. QB quality/health
    2. Quality/depth of fullbacks
    3. Wingbacks are kinda interchangeable

Defense quality always seems to shift wildly. Like those offenses are usually on the good side, but the defenses are mostly trash.

I should add, that slow pace means more close games, and those can be hard to control. Option teams tend to do that well, but sometimes they go sideways.

    Houston defense today? Putrid.
Houston offense today? A backup QB + under 90 yards rushing = also putrid.
